BFBN Week: Babywise Isn’t Imposing a Schedule, it’s Learning the Ideal Schedule

Yesterday Valerie at Chronicles of a Babywise Mom kicked off the BFBN week by introducing some of the common misconceptions about Babywise. Today, Katrina at Mama’s Organized Chaos is homing in on some of those misconceptions: namely that following Babywise commonly leads to a “failure to thrive” diagnosis in babies and that Babywise is hyper-scheduling.

One of the points I like best is this:

The focus of Babywise is deep and broad. It is focused not just on feedings and a schedule, but on healthy routines, optimal sleep, learning, healthy grown and optimal development. Babywise is a way of life, not a simple ‘implement and go’ philosophy.

I couldn’t agree more – and I plan to dive into that very point for my post on Friday!

Check out the rest of Katrina’s post here, and come back each day of this week for more Babywise myth debunking!
